Evaluation is the systematic assessment of programs, policies, and initiatives — examining what works, for whom, and why. In the Global South, evaluation takes on special importance as nations pursue sustainable development while honoring local contexts, indigenous knowledge systems, and the diverse realities of over 6 billion people across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
EvalSouth champions evaluation approaches that are culturally responsive, equity-focused, and grounded in the realities of developing regions.
